Amber Atherton

Amber Atherton is a leading light in the worlds of fashion, technology and business and is a fine en-entrepreneur with plenty to offer. She is a true millennial authority on marketing, social branding and enterprise in the modern world and was part of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2016. Recognised as the 5th most influential person in the digital world by British Vogue, she founded and runs her own e-commerce company MyFlashTrash and has done since the age of 17 initially got investment from Lion Capital. She has managed to develop and grow it into the largest jewellery marketplace online in Europe. The multi-million pound business has sold pieces regularly worn by the high profile likes of Be-yonce, Cara Delevigne, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and Rhianna. Amber, who has a BA (Hons) in Fashion Management at the London College of Fashion, was born and raised in Hong Kong and set up her first business aged nine selling CDs and books. She tried various other small business ventures but it was MyFlashTrash that really took off around the world. Most recently Am-ber has joined the National Enterprise Challenge as Youth Enterprise Ambassador and has helped them to expose 500,000 school children to entrepreneurial skills by 2020. She also sold her stake in My Flash Trash to a Hong Kong company and is now investing in other startups as well as recently having joined the founding team at whalar.com.
