Biography

Ruud Gullit is a legendary former professional footballer turned much loved pundit.
The Dutch born Gullit was born in Amsterdam and had a glittering career throughout the 1980s. He played for many top sides and also went on to captain his national team, including at the Euros of 1988 when he lead them to victory.
Two years later, Ruud was part of the side that competed in the 1990 World Cup and in 1987 was named European Footballer of the Year as well as World Soccer Player of the Year in the same year, then again in 1989.
A versatile player who could put in a shift anywhere across the midfield, he played in many positions during his career and always made an impact. Always a professional on and off the field, he was a true footballing phenomenon who was stylish and assured.
Appearing for sides like AC Milan, Sampdoria, Chelsea, PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and many more, Ruud went into management and took charge at major clubs like Chelsea, Newcastle, LA Galaxy and more.
