Biography

Canadian actress Rachelle Lefevre is best known for her career-defining role as renegade vampire Victoria in the first two Twilight saga film series installments. The series, started in 2008, was based on four novels by American author Stephanie Meyer and grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide. Lefevre’s perfect portrayal of the character she describes as “pure evil, pure instinct, pure malice, and very feline” drew the attention of the saga’s many fans and undoubtedly added to its monumental success. She reprised her role as Victoria in the second installment with an even bigger part in the story: New Moon’s big screen debut broke records as the biggest midnight screening and opening day in history, grossing an estimated $72.7 million.

Prior to her breakthrough as Twilight’s blue-eyed evil vampire, Lefevre started her career with a main role on Canadian television series Big Wolf on Campus. She also had a recurring role on the ABC television show What About Brian in 2006. Since then, she has scored countless parts in shows like ABC drama series The Deep End, Off the Map, and A Gifted Man. Lefevre has also appeared in around 30 films including Barney’s Version, The Caller, Under the Dome, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Most recently, Lefevre appeared in the critically acclaimed Lifetime series Mary Kills People.
