Dave Bassett is a former footballing professional who has great success as manger with many different teams. Bassett formed the original ‘Crazy Gang’ and although he left in 1987, many of the players he had signed took The Dons to an unexpected FA Cup victory in 1988 under Bobby Gould. He also managed Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Notts Forest, Barnsley and Leeds United and pick up many honours in his career. These include many league titles with various different clubs, and as such he is revered as something of a legend within the game.
