Michael Vaughan is the former English cricket captain turned media expert who is full of great views and opinions and who is available for a wide range of TV appearances, presenting roles or after dinner speaking engagements. Vaughan was an elegant and classically informed batsmen and sometime off spin bowler who captained England during some of their greatest triumphs. Of course, one such time was the 2005 Ashes series that England won after 5 hard fought tests. It meant the team was the first to claim the Ashes since Mike Gatting’s side did so way back in 1987 in Australia and for his efforts Vaughan became an OBE and the rest of the side were appointed MBEs and in 2012, Vaughan carried the Olympic Torch through Hillingdon for the London Olympic Games. Between 1993 and 2009 Vaughan played domestically for Yorkshire and scored an amazing 16,295 runs in all of his first class cricket career. Vaughan suffered with a number of injuries in his career as well as dealing with the high pressure situation of being England captain. As such, he is well placed to talk about dealing with high-level stress, about battling adversity or simply to talk about his life in cricket. A natural in front of the camera thanks to his TV pundit work and appearance on shows like the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Vaughan is available for bookings through IEA Talent.
