Mark Ramprakash

Biography

One of the most gifted and talented batsmen of his generation, Mark Ramprakash has a classical technique and great skill and has always played with real intensity. Mark has been playing cricket since his teens and started out playing for Middlesex at 17, before he then went on to captain England at Under-19 level. Mark was a prolific run scorer throughout his career, and with county side Surrey he averaged more than 100 runs per innings in two seasons. Amazingly, he is one of only 25 players ever in the whole history of the game to have scored 100 first class centuries. After his playing career he became the batting coach for England Lions in India and latterly was made the batting coach at Middlesex before then going on to become England’s batting coach in November of 2014.
A passionate and fiery character who always threw himself into games, Mark played 52 tests matches in all and scored more than 2,350 runs at an average of 27.2. He also took four wickets and played in 18 One Day International Game, scoring 376 runs in all. Mark is a dedicated and professional sportsman who can talk with great skill, wit and insight to a range of public, private and club audience. His is also a brand ambassador who can host a range of after dinner events and sports awards and so is a great choice when it comes to cricketing stars.
