Kyran Bracken

Biography

Kyran Bracken is former rugby union professional who is a personable guest host, presenter of awards and charitable gent who also delivers engaging after dinner speeches. Despite being born in Ireland, Kyran actually represented England 51 times and scored 15 points in those games. He also captained the side three sport times and eventually retired in 2004. He was a skilled, quick footed and able ball handler who payed at scrum half and often dictated how games played out. He played for domestic sides like Saracens, Bristol and Waterloo and later qualified as a solicitor.
Since retiring, Kyran has appeared on TV many times. He won ITV’s celebrity ice dancing competition Dancing on Ice in 2007, with partner Melanie Lambert, and in March 2007 he won the special edition of Dancing on Ice ‘The Champion of Champions’, after repeating his record 29.5-point score. He then toured with the Holiday on Ice show and has held ice skating themed parties, as well as placing 5th in the 2014 All Stars series of the show. As well as this, Bracken is an Honorary President of the rugby charity Wooden Spoon improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Britain and Ireland and is an Ambassador of the Royal National Children’s Foundation.
