There are few Hollywood actors that have reached the levels of acclaim as stardom as Matt Damon. Ranked by Forbes as one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, this supremely talented actor is one of the highest-grossing stars of all time. Nominated for four Oscars, Damon won Best Original Screenplay in 1998 for his breakout film Best Original Screenplay. He has also taken home two Golden Globes, been nominated for three BAFTAs and six Emmy awards.
Damon is known for high-profile roles in countless Hollywood hits. He has appeared in such iconic pictures as Saving Private Ryan, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Dogma, Syriana and The Departed, as well as more contemporary films The Martian and Manchester by the Sea, for which he received an Oscar nomination as producer. Perhaps his best-known roles have been the critically and commercially successful Ocean’s series, and the Jason Bourne films, in which Damon plays the titular role.
Damon has also worked as a voice-over artist, contributing to documentaries, advertisements and children’s films, and as a producer alongside long-time friend and collaborator Ben Affleck. As a humanitarian, he has founded the H20 Africa Foundation, the Not On Our Watch Project, and also supports the ONE campaign.
