Rustie Lee

Biography

Jamaican born Rustie Lee is an English former political turned popular TV chef, television personality, singer, actress and more. She is a regular on many shows and also took part in Celebrity Super Spa back in 2013, which was a reality programme on Channel 5. It was back in the 1980s that Rusti first rose to prominence. She was a regular face on morning TV and, after that early success, took over as host from Sarah Kennedy on ITV’s popular game show Game For A Laugh. In 2004, Rustie joined UKIP and also appeared in the party’s TV Broadcasts. She has also written a number of different cook books and these include A Taste of the Caribbean (released in 2007) and then Rustie Lee’s Caribbean Cookbook (in 1985) and has also starred in pantomime a number of different times including in shows like Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan among many more.
On top of all this Rustie has also had a small singing career that has seen her release an album with hits like covers such as ‘Barbados’ and ‘My Toot Toot’, and for a short period back in 2008 she was even part of the Eastenders cast playing aunt Opal. Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got the Pop Factor also had a role for her, as did Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice. Rustic is also never far from day time shows like This Morning, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and Daily Cooks/Saturday Cooks and is a very regular guest that always adds real entertainment and insight.
