Nate Robinson

Biography

From the University of Wisconsin, to his first-round draft into the Phoenix Suns, to the New Orleans Pelicans, Nate Robinson has impressed basketball fans with his skills as a professional point guard. Today, he plays with the Lebanese Basketball League and continues to draw international attention. His long career started in 2005 with the New York Knick, and he’s since played for the Boston Celtics, the Chicago Bulls, the Denver Nuggets, and the Los Angeles Clippers among other city and NBA Development League teams.

Nate Robinson has dedicated his adult life to the sport of basketball. He has been dubbed MVP in two different Bowl games, become the NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion three times, and earned Grand Final MVP in the Venezuelan league. 2018 finds him making moves to return to the NBA in the United States. His energetic play style and winning personality gets fans excited every time he steps on the court. Despite his rather short 5’9″ stature, he has been described as “one of the best athletes I’ve ever been around” by Doc Rivers from the Celtics.

Basketball is not the only thing that Nate Robinson passionate about. In 2014, he published Heart Over Height, a memoir giving fans an insight into his basketball career and personal journey. He has owned a restaurant in Seattle, and even played a much older character named Uncle Drew in the movie Boots. Robinson has made guest appearances in various television series, from Made in Hollywood to late-night shows with Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman.
