Hayley Atwell’s story begins with her studies at the internationally recognised institution for budding actors – Guildhall School. In under one year after graduating, Hayley got her first role in a film called ‘Cassandra’s Dream’. Released in 2007, it was written and directed by none other than Woody Allen. One year later, Atwell was given a part in two feature-length films: The Duchess (starring as Bess Foster) and Brideshead Revisited (as Julia Flyte). By the beginning of 2009, Hayley Atwell was welcomed onto the West End, acting in a remake of the classic, ‘A View from the Bridge’. Performing to adoring fans at the prestigious Duke of York Theatre, Hayley’s appearance earned her a nomination for a Laurence Olivier Award. Amongst Hayley’s younger fans, she is perhaps most recognised for her part as Agent Peggy Carter in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. Released back in 2011, this comic-book blockbuster performed incredibly well in box-offices across the globe. Thanks to this role, NextMovie.com hailed Atwell as one of 2011’s the Breakout Stars to Watch. By 2013, Hayley revisited the Agent Peggy Carter character in the short film, Agent Carter. Then, the following year, Hayley was asked to return for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, as well as 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. With an almost endless list of stage and screen appearances, Hayley Atwell is one of the US’s most in-demand talents right now.
