Double Sony Award-winning writer and stand-up comedian Gary Delaney is best known for his warmly received comic performances that have earned him recognition from Chortle and The Independent, winning him the Dave Award for Funniest Joke at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Gary Delaney made his entrance into professional comedy opening for Jerry Sadowitz in 2003, touring the UK and performing in venues such as Manchester University and London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Delaney rose to public prominence with his 2010 performance of his stand-up show Purist at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a special which he has subsequently taken on tour around the UK. He is known as the only comedian in the Edinburgh Festival’s history to have two of his jokes included in Dave’s list of the Fringe’s Top Ten Funniest Jokes.

Writing for FM radio station Kerrang 105.2, Delaney will be recognised by British viewers for his appearances in celebrity panel show Mock of the Week, Dave’s One Night Stand and comedy-horror short film Trash House. After his show There’s Something About Gary extended to a hundred shows nationwide, Delaney has seen his popularity soaring at an all-time high, bringing his irreverent humour and killer one-liners to audiences around the country in his all-new show Gagster’s Paradise.
